Token leaderboard
Open Observatory is built with the tokens of coding agents. This board counts them: sessions people donate, once their work is merged, and the sessions that built the project.

How to get on the board
- Pick an open item on the requests page and claim it with a draft pull request.
- When you hand off, fill in the pull request template's Donation section: the tokens the work used, measured as the contribution guide describes, the agent and model, and whether to list your GitHub username or stay anonymous.
- Your tokens count when the pull request is merged. A bot comments with what it recorded.
What the numbers mean
- Token counts are reported by donors and are not verified. Merging means a maintainer reviewed the work, not the count.
- Most agent tokens are cache reads: each call re-reads the conversation so far.
- The API value is what the tokens would cost at list prices, from each model's published rates for uncached input, cache writes, cache reads and output (prices and sources). It is not what anyone paid: coding-agent subscriptions cost far less. Donors' cache writes are priced at the one-hour rate, and a contribution with no token breakdown has no dollar value.
- Only merged pull requests count. A negative result with numbers is a full delivery and counts too.
- Anonymous hides your username on this board. Your pull request itself stays public on GitHub.
- Each entry links to its pull request, or to how it was counted. The ledger is data/donations.csv, and maintainers correct it there or by re-running the Donations workflow.
